Encouraging Bible Verses

These days we all need encouragement. While there are many earthly things to make us happy, in the end they aren’t long term. Like the old saying goes, “money can’t buy happiness.”

Despite the world’s attempt to lift our spirits, nothing compares to what’s contained in the Bible. Personally, I can’t remember a single moment when it didn’t have something to offer – especially in the midst of tough times.

As we enter the new year, it’s a good time for all of us to focus on something encouraging. We pray you are blessed.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
